Assembling the pieces

A release should be a pull request and a few minutes of waiting.

We build the infrastructure and pipelines underneath the product: containerised services, automated deploys, and environments that can be scaled per region instead of all at once.

What it is

Deployment is the part of a project that quietly decides how fast everything else can move. When a release is a manual ritual that one person performs on a Friday, teams ship less often, batch up more risk into each release, and get slower over the life of the product.

The fix is not heroics, it is plumbing: containers so an environment is reproducible, a pipeline so a merge is a deploy, and a topology that lets the busy part of the system scale without dragging the rest of it along.

What we do

Containerised services
Applications packaged so that what runs on a laptop, in staging and in production is the same thing, and a new environment is a configuration rather than an archaeology project.
Orchestration and per-region scale
Kubernetes workloads that scale the services under load independently, which matters when one part of a platform has a busiest hour and the rest does not.
CI/CD pipelines
A merge that builds, tests and deploys on its own, so releasing stops being an event and becomes a routine.
Event backbones for services that must not drop work
Message queues between services, so a downstream system being briefly unavailable delays work rather than losing it.

How we work

  • Pipelines your team owns and can read, not a black box only we can operate
  • Infrastructure sized to the product's real traffic rather than to a diagram
  • The deploy path treated as part of the product, because it decides how fast the product can change
  • Kubernetes and Docker on Digital Ocean, kept as simple as the workload allows

Work delivered under this

  • STR Marketplace interface

    STR Marketplace

A short-term rental marketplace running at 10k+ active users. We built the search engine, the host-facing property dashboards, the admin impersonation tooling and the partner sync services. Under NDA.
